Residential studio in Provence

The residence

My residential studio, dedicated to recording, mixing, and mastering, is located at an altitude of 800 meters in Sault, Vaucluse, in the northern part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, at the heart of the Mont Ventoux Regional Natural Park.

Located just 2 hours drive from Marseille, 1 hour 40 minutes from Marseille-Provence airport and 1 hour 10 minutes from Avignon, I offer artists, authors and composers a warm and relaxing residential experience far from the urban hustle and bustle.

ACCOMODATION

The three floors of the house give you access to the living room and kitchen area as well as a private space including a bedroom and a bathroom for the duration of your stay. An ideal setting to relax between two sessions and focus on what really matters.

For longer sessions, I have two bedrooms where I can accommodate up to three people.

For more guests, additional accommodation is available just a few steps from the residential studio.

LIVING SPACES

Two living rooms with distinct atmospheres and neat decoration, the largest of which is equipped with a hi-fi system and a Thorens turntable to enjoy a large collection of vinyl records (facing the fireplace in winter!) : jazz, funk, rock, world music, old, baroque and a lot more make this collection a rich source of inspiration.

A large library is accessible on the 2nd floor as well as a balcony with a view on the ground floor.

SAULT EN PROVENCE AND ITS LAVANDERS

Established at an altitude of 800 metres on a rocky promontory in the 11th century, the village of Sault en Provence overlooks a plain cultivated with lavender, lavandin and einkorn (a cereal cultivated by man for over 10,000 years!) offering an unique colour show in summer.

With one of the oldest municipal museums in France, its weekly Provençal market on Wednesdays since 1515, its preserved wild fauna and flora, this
high place of the French Resistance and the Maquis Ventoux is also witness to human activity since prehistoric times: your host has fallen in love with
this exceptional heritage that he will be happy to share with you!

MONT VENTOUX REGIONAL NATURAL PARK

Culminating at 1910 meters, the “Giant of Provence” has fascinated for centuries: artists, writers, scientists and today an essential place for athletes and more particularly cyclists, it is said to have been climbed in 1336 by the poet Petrarch who recounted his adventure in the book “The Ascent of Mont Ventoux”.

Subject to intensive deforestation until the 19th century, it is today a model of ecological resilience with the largest cedar forest in France. The eminent naturalist and entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre noted the impressive diversity of its flora at the end of the 19th century.

The Mont Ventoux Regional Natural Park is today the 9th Regional Natural Park in the Provence-Alpes-Côtes-d’Azur region in France.
